Can I change how items in a list are sorted?

Yes, and each list remembers its own choice.

  1. Open the list and tap the settings icon.
  2. Choose Sort.
  3. Pick newest first, oldest first, alphabetical, or manual.

Choosing manual lets you drag items into whatever order you like, which is what you want for a packing list or a recipe.
