Can I give something a due date and a time?

Yes, and the two are separate on purpose. Something can be due Saturday without being due at a particular moment on Saturday.

  1. Open the item.
  2. Tap the calendar icon to pick a day. The month closes as soon as you choose.
  3. Tap the clock icon if it also needs a time.

Clearing the date removes the time and any repeat with it, since neither means anything without a day to sit on.
